Awareness Session Conducted by L&T at Ameerpet Metro Station in Hyderabad

L&T Metro Rail (Hyderabad) Limited celebrated World Environment Day by organizing an awareness session at Ameerpet Metro Station. The goal was to educate passengers on environmental issues and the theme of this year’s #BeatPlasticPollution. Babul Films Society, a local NGO, supported the event with four activities. Metro rail officials highlighted energy conservation achievements, including 23 Indian Green Building Council (IGBC) Platinum certified stations that are eco-friendly and energy-efficient. They also implemented the Regenerative Braking System to pump back 40% of energy received through braking. KVB Reddy, Managing Director & CEO of L&T HMRL, committed to providing an eco-friendly public transport system. The interactive awareness session at Ameerpet station was praised for promoting environmental consciousness and sustainability.
