Hyderabad/Bhopal: Bandi Sanjay Kumar, Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, praised the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) as a symbol of India’s strength. He highlighted their bravery and the importance of recognizing their sacrifices. Efforts are underway to improve facilities for their welfare.
During a visit to the ITBP campus in Shivpuri, Madhya Pradesh, on Wednesday, he launched various development projects. He opened 105 new homes for the 29th Battalion in Jabalpur, a barracks for 360 personnel at the Communication and Information Technology Institute (CITI), and 38 more residential units. The event included attendees like Mane Maharaj, IG Training ITBP, Mahesh Kalawat, DIG Shivpuri ITBP, Devender Jain, MLA of Shivpuri, Gayatri Sharan, President of the Shivpuri Municipal Corporation, senior ITBP officials, and their families.
In his speech, Union Minister Bandi Sanjay honored the ITBP martyrs. He stated that their sacrifices are eternal and will always inspire the nation. He acknowledged the ITBP’s commitment to living with dignity and thanked everyone involved in the projects.
He recognized the Telecom Battalion in Shivpuri as vital for the country’s tech and border security. He expressed pride in the ITBP’s role in protecting the nation in the Himalayas.
The ITBP provides excellent service from Ladakh to Arunachal Pradesh, even in low-oxygen areas. They are not just guardians but also embody India’s strength and values, following the motto “Bravery, Firmness, Karmanishta.”
Bandi Sanjay highlighted government efforts under Prime Minister Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah to modernize the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF). This aligns with the motto “Sab Ka Saath, Sab Ka Vikas, Sab Ka Vishwas, Sab Ka Prayas.”
He noted the ITBP’s challenging duties in high-altitude and avalanche-prone areas, emphasizing their bravery and commitment. He assured that modern training, advanced surveillance tools, better transportation, and improved communication infrastructure will be provided.
He expressed confidence that ITBP soldiers would continue to serve with courage and aim for higher achievements.
