Hyderabad: A team from the University of San Diego (USD) visited Prof V Balakista Reddy and Prof Sriram Venkatesh of the Telangana Council of Higher Education (TGCHE). They discussed possible partnerships in faculty development, student exchanges, and tech-driven governance. This meeting is a major step in connecting Telangana with international academic institutions.
On Wednesday, TGCHE shared details about the discussions. They focused on several areas:
Master’s Programs: Opportunities were highlighted for degrees like MS in Applied Artificial Intelligence, MS in Applied Data Science, MS in Cybersecurity Engineering, and MS in Cybersecurity Operations & Leadership.
Faculty Upskilling: The US team suggested a long-term collaboration to train faculty and build academic leadership.
Research Projects: They explored joint research possibilities, including intellectual property rights and co-authored publications.
Entrepreneurship: The talks aimed at enhancing entrepreneurial skills among students.
The meeting stressed improving global education access for talented students from Telangana. They discussed scholarships and international opportunities to create new educational paths for deserving students.
This collaboration seeks to boost administrative efficiency and introduce modern governance practices in the state.
