Hyderabad: Many leaders from the BRS, including former Jubilee Hills MLA candidate Murali Goud and ex-corporator Sanjay Goud, joined the Congress party on Saturday. PCC chief B Mahesh Kumar Goud welcomed the newcomers at an event in Gandhi Bhavan.
Speaking to the media, Mahesh Kumar Goud expressed strong confidence in the Congress party’s success in the upcoming Jubilee Hills by-election. He mentioned that surveys and feedback from the ground show a clear advantage for Congress. He dismissed claims made by BRS leader T Harish Rao about the Banakacherla project, accusing him of spreading false information. Goud emphasized that the Congress government focuses on the true needs of Telangana’s people, promising transparent and welfare-oriented governance. “Our administration aligns with people’s aspirations. The concerns about Banakacherla are unfounded. The truth will come out,” he stated.
