    The Bhadradri Lord Rama temple in Bhadrachalam is all lit up for the celestial wedding of Lord Rama and Sita. The Sri Rama Navami festival is set to take place at the Sri Sita Ramachandra Swamy Temple on Wednesday.

    Preparations are in full swing with 2.50 lakh laddu prasadams prepared for devotees. The government, through Chief Secretary Shanti Kumari, will present silk clothes during the wedding ceremony. A total of 1800 police personnel have been deployed to ensure a smooth and secure celebration.

    In anticipation of a large number of devotees from neighbouring states, the temple management has set up 19 counters for selling laddu prasadam and 60 counters for free distribution of talambralu. The Kalyana Mandapam has been divided into 24 sectors to accommodate spectators.

    TSRTC and APSRTC will run buses to Bhadrachalam for devotees’ convenience. Nearly 400 buses will be operating in the Khammam region, with ten additional buses for local trips in the temple town. The ‘Sri Rama Maha Pattabhishekam’ highlight is scheduled for Thursday, with Governor CP Radha Krishna in attendance.

    District officials, including Endowment Commissioner Hanmanth Rao, Collector Dr Priyanaka Ala, and Superintendent of Police Rohith Raj, are overseeing arrangements for a smooth event. Special prayers and rituals will begin at 2 am on Wednesday leading up to the Kalyanotsavam.

    To help devotees cope with the summer heat, drinking water, buttermilk, and ORS sachets will be distributed. Additionally, the traditional ‘Edurukolu Utsavam’ followed by Garuda Seva was conducted on Tuesday with a large number of devotees participating.
