Bharat Gaurav Train Begins Maha Kumbh Punya Kshetra Yatra from Secunderabad

The 27th trip of the Bharat Gaurav train, covering the first Maha Kumbh Punya Kshetra Yatra, began its journey on Monday from Secunderabad railway station. This special train offers a unique spiritual tourism experience for passengers.

Tapan Chandra, a 77-year-old passenger, flagged off the train. The journey will take travelers to prominent pilgrimage destinations, including Varanasi, Prayagraj, and Ayodhya.

According to officials from South Central Railway (SCR), this seven-night, eight-day yatra offers passengers from Telangana and Andhra Pradesh an opportunity to visit sacred sites. These include the Triveni Sangam in Prayagraj, the Kashi Vishwanath Temple, Kashi Vishalakshi, and Annapurna Devi in Varanasi, as well as Shri Ram Janma Bhoomi and Hanuman Garhi in Ayodhya. Boarding and de-boarding facilities are available at various stations across Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, such as Bhongir, Warangal, Vijayawada, and Vizag.

The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has also announced a second Maha Kumbh Punya Kshetra Yatra Bharat Gaurav train, scheduled to run from February 15 to 21. Bookings for the trip are now open. Passengers can visit the IRCTC website at http://www.irctctourism.com or contact designated phone numbers for assistance with bookings.

Arun Kumar Jain, General Manager of SCR, emphasized the importance of Bharat Gaurav trains in promoting spiritual tourism in India. He encouraged people to take advantage of this opportunity to explore culturally significant and historic sites.
