Nirmal, Telangana – The Telangana State Government has introduced a new law called the Bhubharati Act to help solve long-standing land disputes. District Collector Abhilash Abhinav spoke about its importance during an awareness event held on Tuesday in Andakur village, located in Kuntala mandal.
At the seminar, officials explained how the law works using a PowerPoint presentation. The focus was on the new ROR (Record of Rights) Act, designed to make land record updates and pending land transaction regularisations simpler and faster.
Under this system, farmers can apply online through the Bhubharati Portal. Once an application is submitted, revenue officials will handle both the mutation (land record change) and registration processes. If any disputes arise, farmers can appeal through a structured two-level appeal system.
To support farmers, especially those with limited means, the government is also offering free legal help.
Each piece of land will now be assigned a unique Bhudhar number, much like an Aadhaar card, to clearly identify land boundaries and prevent confusion. This initiative aims to fix problems caused earlier by the Dharani portal. Now, every time a land record is updated, the change will be reflected online immediately.
During the event, villagers shared their personal land issues with the Collector. In response, he instructed local officials to resolve simple cases right away. More complex cases will be addressed using the guidelines of the Bhubharati Act.
The session saw participation from several key officials, including Additional Collector (Revenue) Kishore Kumar, Tahsildar Kamal Singh, MPDO Limbadri, and many local residents.
