Gadwal – The government has launched Bhuharathi Revenue Conferences to quickly and fairly settle land-related problems. District Additional Collector Lakshmi Narayana said the goal is to help farmers and citizens resolve their land issues without delay.
He spoke during a Bhuharathi Pilot Project event held in Satharla village, located in Itikyala Mandal, on Thursday. At the event, he listened to people’s complaints, accepted written petitions, and answered questions about land disputes.
According to Lakshmi Narayana, the Bhuharathi Act was created to fix the flaws in the earlier Dharani system. The new law focuses on solving problems that farmers have faced for years. It was introduced on Dr. B.R. Ambedkar’s birth anniversary after consulting with legal experts, scholars, and field officers. The law reflects the real challenges and needs of the farming community.
Special revenue teams have been formed to handle land dispute applications. Farmers can submit their issues for free—no fees are charged at these conferences. Each case will be carefully reviewed, and officials will carry out on-site investigations to ensure the matter is resolved fairly and on time.
This pilot program currently runs in Itikyala Mandal, but officials plan to expand it to every revenue village in the district once it’s successful.
Lakshmi Narayana encouraged farmers and residents to use this chance to finally resolve their long-standing land issues.
The event saw the participation of RDO Srinivasa Rao, Itikyala Tahsildar Veera Bhadrappa, Erravalli Tahsildar Naresh, along with other revenue staff, local farmers, and community members.
