BHUPALAPALLY: Authorities are stepping up security to ensure a safe and smooth experience for thousands of devotees visiting Kaleshwaram during the 12-day Saraswati Pushkaralu festival.
S Chandrasekhar Reddy, the Multi-Zone Inspector General (IG), announced on Thursday that detailed safety plans are in place. He visited the area with Superintendent of Police Kiran Khare to personally check the arrangements.
They inspected key spots around the Kaleshwar Mukteshwar Swamy temple, including parking zones, CCTV coverage, queue lines, and the Pushkar ghats where pilgrims take holy dips. Their goal is to prevent any inconvenience for visitors.
The festival is expected to draw huge crowds from Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Chhattisgarh. To handle the influx, officials are tightening security and improving crowd management across the temple town.
During his visit, IG Chandrasekhar Reddy also took part in religious rituals. Temple priests and officials greeted him with a traditional Poorna Kumbham, a ceremonial welcome.
The Saraswati Pushkaralu is a major spiritual event, and local authorities are working around the clock to ensure it runs safely and peacefully for all attendees.
