Hyderabad – Tensions are rising in Telangana as BJP leaders strongly criticized the Congress for making offensive comments about Malkajgiri MP Eatala Rajender.
On Tuesday, BJP State Secretary Kolli Madhavi spoke to the media. She accused TPCC chief Mahesh Kumar Goud, MP Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy, and former MLA Jagga Reddy of using disrespectful language toward Eatala Rajender, calling it unacceptable.
Madhavi pointed out that the state government recently issued a land acquisition order, only to cancel it later. She said this back-and-forth created confusion and showed poor leadership. She described the move as a “Tughlaq-style administration,” criticizing the lack of clarity and consistency.
She defended Eatala Rajender, saying he is standing up for people in his constituency who are suffering due to ongoing demolitions. “Instead of solving public problems, Congress leaders are attacking the MP with harsh words,” she said.
Several BJP MLAs, including Dhanpal Suryanarayana Gupta, Rama Rao Power, Paidi Rakesh Reddy, and Dr. Palvai Harish Babu, also condemned the Congress response. They argued that instead of answering Rajender’s questions, Congress officials are launching personal attacks.
The BJP leaders urged Chief Minister Revanth Reddy to take immediate steps to help families left homeless by the demolitions. They accused Congress leaders of trying to protect the CM’s image while ignoring the real issues faced by the public.
They also raised questions about the HYDRA department, which is managing the demolition drives. They asked why no action was taken against a college owned by AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi in Old City, Hyderabad, even though the department claimed it would avoid disrupting students during the academic year. BJP leaders pointed out that it is currently summer vacation, so that excuse no longer holds.
Additionally, they questioned why a college linked to former BRS minister and MLA Malla Reddy was spared from demolition, while many others were targeted.
BJP leaders demanded that the ruling party stop dodging real concerns and answer the opposition’s questions. They warned that using personal attacks instead of facts shows weak and irresponsible politics.
