Hyderabad: The State BJP has decided to delay its membership enrollment drive, which was supposed to start on Tuesday. This decision was announced by former MLC and senior BJP leader, N Ramachander Rao, during a press briefing on Monday.

Rao explained that the decision was made due to the ongoing flood situation in various parts of Telangana. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Minister of State for Home Amit Shah, and BJP party chief JP Nadda expressed their concern over the floods. They have asked party members to focus on helping with relief and rescue operations instead of the membership drive.

The membership drive, which was to be launched by Union Minister of Coal and Mines G Kishan Reddy, is now postponed. New dates and a revised schedule will be shared later, Rao added.
