Rao is from Muthyampet village of Mallyal mandal in Karimnagar district. He has been associated with organizations like ABVP, Ramakrishna Math, and Rotary International. He has been a visible face and voice of BJP in the State for over 13 years. He is respected as an ardent BJP worker both inside and outside the party. He is known for his ability to connect with and impact both educated urban voters and rural voters equally. He excels in effective communication and creating a winning election strategy.

Krishna Sagar Rao stated, “Chevella has a large urban and semi-urban voter base and two rural assembly segments. I understand that the party has its own process of selecting the candidate, considering factors that affect the possibility of winning.
