Gadwal, Telangana — A deeply moving event took place in Ieeja Mandal, where leaders from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) came together to honor a man whose devotion to Lord Rama has inspired thousands.
Chakravarthi Acharyulu, known for his unwavering spiritual commitment, received special recognition for a unique and long-standing tradition. For the past 15 years, he has spent the Sri Rama Navami festival writing the sacred name “Sri Rama” on 36,116 rice grains each year. With steady dedication, he has now written the holy name over 500,000 times.
Acharyulu serves as the District President of the Dhupa Deepa Naivedyam Committee, a group focused on promoting Sanatana Dharma and traditional Hindu rituals. Through this role, he has encouraged priests and devotees to stay connected with their spiritual roots.
At the ceremony, former BJP District President Ramachandra Reddy and Ieeja Mandal BJP President Gopal Krishna led the tributes. They honored Acharyulu with flower garlands and a traditional talapaka, or headgear, as a symbol of respect.
Many respected community members attended, including Nagaraju, Venkatacharyulu, Nagabhushana Sharma, Lakshmana Goud, Ashok, Gopal, and journalists Amar and Satish. They praised Acharyulu’s tireless work to keep Hindu customs alive and encouraged others to follow his example.
This celebration wasn’t just about honoring one person’s devotion—it also reminded everyone of the importance of preserving spiritual traditions in today’s fast-changing world.
