Hyderabad: NVSS Prabhakar, Vice-President of the BJP in Telangana and a former MLA, made bold claims on Wednesday about major political changes ahead. He said that within the next six months, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy might be replaced and predicted a possible merger between the Congress and BRS (Bharat Rashtra Samithi) parties.
Speaking at a press meet, Prabhakar alleged that a secret deal has already been struck between the ruling Congress and the BRS, led by former CM K Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR). According to him, this agreement could result in leadership changes by June or after December 9.
He questioned the recent show of loyalty by T Harish Rao, a senior BRS leader and nephew of KCR. Harish Rao had publicly expressed his commitment to KCR and KT Rama Rao (KTR), KCR’s son and party working president. Prabhakar hinted that such statements reveal internal pressure and possible political shifts.
Prabhakar also criticized the state’s slow pace in investigating alleged scams involving BRS leaders. He claimed that the Congress had agreed to shield K Kavitha, daughter of KCR, who is under investigation in the Delhi liquor scam. According to him, the Congress is offering legal help as part of its understanding with the BRS.
Turning to public welfare, Prabhakar pointed out serious flaws in the Indiramma housing scheme. He said that during BRS’s 10-year rule and Congress’s recent 15-month governance, deserving poor families were ignored. Instead, he alleged, people with political connections benefited from these programs meant for the truly needy.
He also slammed the communist parties, accusing them of failing to support Prime Minister Narendra Modi during Operation Sindoor, a military action against Pakistan. Prabhakar noted that while global leaders appreciated Modi’s leadership, Indian leftist parties stayed silent.
With these statements, the BJP leader painted a picture of growing cooperation between Congress and BRS, raising questions about the future of Telangana politics.
