The State BJP unit in Hyderabad is demanding that the Congress government announce its action plan for implementing its six guarantees during the Assembly budget session. The BJP spokesperson, Rani Rudrama, called on Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy to provide details on how the guarantees will be implemented. The Congress had promised to fulfill these guarantees within 100 days, but after 61 days, there has been no progress. Rudrama also emphasized the need for the government to disclose the number of eligible beneficiaries, the financial arrangements for the guarantees, and the allocation of funds. She questioned whether the government plans to create new revenue streams or accumulate more debt.
Rudrama accused Congress leaders, including Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi, and Mallikarjuna Kharge, of making unrealistic promises to win power in Telangana. She highlighted specific unfulfilled promises such as the Cheyutha scheme’s Rs 4,000 pension, the Mahalakshmi Scheme’s Rs 2,500 for women, and the Rythu Bharosa’s Rs 15,000/acre for farmers. She also mentioned the delay in the farm loan waiver scheme and the absence of a job calendar. Rudrama criticized the government for not establishing a committee for activists of the Telangana movement or supporting martyrs’ families. Additionally, she called for clarification on the Grihalakshmi Scheme, Yuva Vikasam Scheme, teacher vacancies, and school closures.
Rudrama expressed skepticism about the CM’s challenge to the BRS on Krishna water distribution during the budget session, suggesting that it may be a diversion tactic. She demanded that the government provide an action plan for completing various projects such as SLBC, Dindi, Palamuru Ranga Reddy, and Jurala, as well as allocate a budget for their early completion.
