Hyderabad: G Kishan Reddy, Union Minister and BJP State Chief, has called on party leaders and members to organize meetings with primary members at polling booths throughout Telangana. This initiative is part of a strategy to strengthen the party’s organization. The plan includes planting trees under the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” campaign, scheduled for Monday.
Gujjala Premender Reddy, BJP State General Secretary, announced on Sunday that this effort honors ‘Balidan Diwas’ (Martyrdom Day) which remembers Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee, founder of the Bharatiya Jana Sangh. He said, “The party has lined up several events starting from Dr. Mukherjee’s martyrdom day on June 23 and leading up to his birth anniversary on July 6.”
Tribute events for Dr. Mukherjee will happen across different areas. Important figures like BJP State President and Union Coal Minister G Kishan Reddy, BJP OBC Morcha National President, BJP Parliamentary Board Member, Member of Parliament Dr. K Laxman, and BJP Legislature Party Leader Aleti Maheshwar Reddy will attend. These gatherings are set for the BJP State Office in Nampally, Hyderabad.
Bandi Sanjay Kumar, Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, will honor Dr. Mukherjee at the Karimnagar BJP District Office. Meanwhile, BJP National Vice President and MP DK Aruna will participate in the tree planting event in Kammadanam village, Shadnagar constituency.
Various BJP members, including MPs, MLAs, Legislative Council members, state leaders, district presidents, and other party officials, will engage in activities at their respective polling booths, mandals, districts, and urban areas.
