Hyderabad: A bomb threat at Begumpet Airport on Wednesday led to a major security alert. An email warning about a bomb prompted authorities to evacuate the airport and start a thorough search.
Security teams from the Telangana Special Protection Force (SPF) and the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), along with other law enforcement agencies, quickly arrived at the scene. The Bomb Disposal Squad carried out detailed checks throughout the airport.
The Begumpet police reported receiving the threat email in the morning. They acted immediately to ensure everyone’s safety. Although nothing suspicious has been found yet, officials said they will keep strict security measures in place until the area is completely safe.
An unknown email claimed there was an explosive at the airport. To find the source, cybercrime experts are working to track the email’s IP address.
Authorities have asked the public to remain calm and assured them that all necessary steps are being taken to ensure their safety.
