Arvind Kejriwal, the Chief Minister of Delhi, visited Satyendar Jain, the former Health Minister, in the hospital on Sunday. Kejriwal praised Jain as a hero and shared photos of their meeting on Twitter. Jain was granted interim bail for six months by the Supreme Court due to health reasons and is currently receiving treatment in the hospital.
Jain was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate in May 2022 for a Prevention of Money Laundering Act case and had been held in Tihar Jail. The Delhi High Court initially denied him bail. However, Jain fell in the bathroom in jail last Thursday, leading to his hospitalization. He filed a bail plea on medical grounds, which was granted by the Supreme Court until July 11.
