Gadwal: Basu Hanumanthu Naidu, the BRS party leader for the Gadwal constituency, visited several villages in Gattu Mandal to help local tobacco farmers. These farmers have been unable to sell their crops for over two months.

In the villages of Mittadoddi, Chagadona, Mucchonipalli, and Tummalapalle, around 80 farmers have been waiting to sell about 1000 to 1100 bales of tobacco. However, purchasing companies have not started buying the bales.

Upon hearing about this, Basu Hanumanthu Naidu went to the area near Mittadoddi Ashram. He met with the farmers and local party leaders to understand the problem. He then called the company owner, Mr. Sunil, and urged him to start buying the tobacco immediately.

The company agreed to begin purchasing the bales within 10 to 15 days after Mr. Naidu's request.

During his visit, Mr. Naidu criticized the delay by the companies. He questioned why they hadn’t bought the tobacco after two months and accused them of working with traders and middlemen to harm farmers financially.

He warned that if the companies do not start buying in 10 to 15 days, they will protest with the farmers in front of the company.

The visit included several local figures like Ellandoddi Raju Naidu, Maddileti, Dr. Raju, Nallagattu Ramudu, Eeranna, Urukundu Narasimhulu, Govindu, Vinod, and many farmers.

This action by the BRS leader offers hope to the farmers, who are now waiting for the company’s response in the coming days.
