Choutuppal (Yadadri-Bhongir): On Thursday night, a car was swept away by floodwaters on the Nelapatla-Verkutpally road in Choutuppal after heavy rain caused a nearby village tank to overflow and break its bund.
Four people from Choutuppal were driving back from Workutpally when they faced a rush of water at Nelapatla. The breach of the tank led to the sudden flood.
Sensing danger, the passengers quickly got out of the car. Just moments later, the floodwaters carried the vehicle away.
Thankfully, no one was injured. Local residents and officials have been notified, and authorities are examining the situation.
This incident underscores the dangers of unexpected floods and the importance of maintaining water bodies, especially during the monsoon season.
