The Union Railway Ministry has decided to upgrade the Kazipet wagon overhauling unit into a wagon manufacturing unit. This decision was made just before Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Warangal. Modi will lay the foundation stone for the overhauling unit. The state BJP leaders have been pushing for the sanction of the wagon manufacturing unit at Kazipet.
The BRS party and the Congress party have criticized the BJP-led NDA government for not keeping their promise when the new state was created. They were planning to make this a major campaign issue.
Meanwhile, the BJP state leaders, including state president Bandi Sanjay, Jitender Reddy, Union Minister G Kishan Reddy, and others, will hold a preparatory meeting to review the arrangements for the PM’s meeting in Warangal on Sunday.
