Koonanneni Sambasiva Rao criticized the central government at the AITUC District Second Conference in Sarapaka, Bhadradrikottagudem District, Burgampadu Mandal. He warned that the government is trying to weaken labor laws that workers have fought for, and should only be challenged through labor struggles.
According to Rao, privatization of Public Sector Undertakings should be opposed by all workers. He mentioned that auctioning coal blocks will only benefit Modi’s friend Adani Ambani, and suggested that the blocks should be given to public sector companies like Singareni instead. Rao also called for the government to take the lead in establishing new industries in the district, and emphasized the importance of giving equal pay to both organized and unorganized workers for their work.
