Problems have been discovered, such as changing ages on Aadhaar cards to receive old age pensions, using fake certificates to get disabled pensions, and irregularities in pensions for widows and single women.

There are also reports of government employees receiving social pensions, which has led to complaints. The government has stated that action will be taken against any officials responsible for these issues in the pension scheme.
