Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy shared his deep sadness over the passing of Dr. Krishnaswamy Kasturirangan, a respected scientist and former Chairman of ISRO.
He praised Dr. Kasturirangan for his important work in India’s space program. The Chief Minister highlighted his key role in the successful launches of the PSLV and GSLV rockets during his time as ISRO Chairman from 1994 to 2003. He said the country will always remember his contributions.
Revanth Reddy also mentioned that Dr. Kasturirangan served the country in many important positions. These include being a Rajya Sabha member, Vice Chancellor of Jawaharlal Nehru University, Secretary of the Department of Space, and a member of the Planning Commission. He said India has lost a great scientist and a visionary leader in science and technology.
The Chief Minister offered prayers for Dr. Kasturirangan’s soul to rest in peace and sent his heartfelt condolences to the grieving family.
