Chief Minister Revanth tells Collectors to stay alert due to heavy rain

Hyderabad: Heavy rains prompted Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy to instruct District Collectors to stay alert. He emphasized the need to quickly address waterlogging, traffic issues, and power cuts in low-lying areas, ensuring prompt responses to public concerns.

While in Delhi, the Chief Minister contacted his office to assess the flood conditions and ensure the safety of residents in vulnerable areas. Due to the intense rainfall, he placed district Collectors on high alert, urging them to keep the public informed about the IMD’s weather forecasts and to regularly review conditions with different departments. The CM stressed the importance of coordination among departments to minimize disruption and provide necessary relief in affected regions.

Revanth Reddy also instructed officials to warn residents near ponds and other water bodies, which are filling up rapidly. He ordered rescue efforts in flood-affected areas within the GHMC limits, urging precautions to prevent any loss of life or property.

The Chief Minister mandated that officials remain accessible in districts to address any rain-related emergencies, providing full support during rescue and relief missions. He advised senior authorities to maintain regular communication with Collectors to continuously monitor the situation.
