Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy is set to attend a crucial meeting with the NITI Aayog in New Delhi on Saturday. He traveled to the capital on Friday, accompanied by senior officials.
The Chief Minister will take part in a breakfast meeting hosted by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Bharat Mandapam, along with other state leaders.
During the NITI Aayog session, Revanth Reddy will present a detailed report asking the central government for increased financial support to Telangana. He will also unveil the state’s long-term strategy titled ‘Telangana Rising 2047’, which outlines plans for development over the next two decades.
A key part of the presentation includes an ambitious roadmap to build a $1 trillion economy. The plan focuses on boosting sectors like Information Technology, pharmaceuticals, and urban infrastructure. It also highlights the government’s recent reforms aimed at improving governance and public welfare.
Several major projects and proposals will be showcased, including:
– Development of RRR (Regional Ring Roads)
– Construction of a Dry Port
– Establishment of Young India Sports University and Young India Skills University
– Upgrading Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) into Advanced Training and Research Centers (ATRs)
– Expansion of world-class university infrastructure
– Skill development programs for the youth
On the welfare front, the CM will highlight key schemes such as:
– Loan waivers for farmers
– Bonuses for rice cultivation
– Distribution of fine rice to low-income families
– The goal to make one crore women financially independent
– Free bus travel for women across the state
The report will also stress the importance of 42% reservation for Backward Classes (BCs), conducting a caste census, and the sub-categorization of Scheduled Castes (SCs).
With this presentation, Revanth Reddy aims to secure stronger central support to accelerate Telangana’s economic growth, improve public services, and ensure social justice for all communities.
