Hyderabad is buzzing with excitement as the city celebrates Ganesh immersion. The lanes around Hussain Sagar have come alive with festive spirit.

The procession for the Khairatabad Ganesh idol, known as Shobhayatra, began early at 6 AM. It is expected to be completed by 2 PM in the afternoon. The Ganesh Utsava Samiti started their journey to Hussain Sagar for the immersion after performing the necessary pre-immersion prayers. By 7 AM on Tuesday, around 5,000 Ganesh idols had already been immersed in the lake.

To ensure safety, heavy security has been deployed across Hyderabad. About 25,000 police officers have been stationed throughout the city to manage the large crowds and ensure a peaceful immersion.
