    Hyderabad is buzzing with excitement as the city celebrates Ganesh immersion. The lanes around Hussain Sagar have come alive with festive spirit.

    The procession for the Khairatabad Ganesh idol, known as Shobhayatra, began early at 6 AM. It is expected to be completed by 2 PM in the afternoon. The Ganesh Utsava Samiti started their journey to Hussain Sagar for the immersion after performing the necessary pre-immersion prayers. By 7 AM on Tuesday, around 5,000 Ganesh idols had already been immersed in the lake.

    To ensure safety, heavy security has been deployed across Hyderabad. About 25,000 police officers have been stationed throughout the city to manage the large crowds and ensure a peaceful immersion.

    Traffic restrictions have also been put in place due to the Ganesh idol immersions. The traffic police have limited access to certain roads where the Shobhayatra processions are happening. These restrictions began at 6 AM on Tuesday and will remain in effect until 10 PM on Wednesday.
