A young man from Hyderabad, India, tragically drowned in Toronto, Canada, while swimming in a lake. The victim, named Praneeth, was a resident of Meerpet in Ranga Reddy district. He had completed his studies in Canada and was looking for a job. Praneeth had moved to Canada in 2019 for further studies, and his elder brother followed him there in 2022.
The incident took place on September 14 when Praneeth, along with his friends, visited a cottage near Lake Clear to celebrate his elder brother’s birthday. During the outing, the group went swimming in the lake. Unfortunately, Praneeth went missing while swimming, and it was later discovered that he had drowned.
After the group noticed Praneeth was missing, rescue teams were called to the scene. They were able to recover his body from the lake. The local police were informed, and they are currently investigating what led to the tragic event.
Praneeth’s family received this heartbreaking news on Monday through a friend of his. The family is now in contact with Praneeth’s friends, who are working with Canadian authorities to manage the situation. The family has also requested help from the Telangana government to bring Praneeth’s body back to India.
