The Asian Institute of Nephrology and Urology (AINU) in Hyderabad has completed 1,000 robotic surgeries in the field of urology, uro-oncology, and nephrology care. This makes AINU a leader in advanced Uro-Nephro care with cutting-edge technology. The surgeries were performed to treat kidney cancer, prostate cancer, bladder cancer, and reconstructive urology.

Dr C Mallikarjuna, Chief Consultant Urologist and Managing Director of AINU, highlighted the advantages of robotic surgery. Patients who underwent robotic surgery for prostatectomy experienced better post-operation outcomes. They had a more consistent urination pattern and eliminated discomfort in bladder control. Additionally, the delicate nerves could be preserved, allowing for a normal penile erection.
