All preparations have been made for the Eid-ul-Fitr congregational prayers at Eidgahs in Hyderabad. Temporary tents have been set up at various places to provide relief from the hot weather. The Minority Welfare Department and Telangana State Wakf Board oversaw the arrangements at popular Eid prayer locations like Mir Alam Eidgah and Eidgah Madannapet.
Over one lakh people are expected to attend the Eid prayers at Mir Alam Eidgah. The Water Board ensured an adequate water supply for ablution and drinking, while the GHMC cleaned up the Eidgahs. Around 1,000 police personnel will be deployed to ensure security during the prayers.
Muslims from neighboring districts are also expected to join the congregational prayers at Eidgahs in Hyderabad. The oldest Eidgah in the city, Khadeem Eidgah in Madannapet, is approximately 400 years old and can accommodate over 50,000 people for Eid prayers.
Special budgets were allocated by GHMC and Telangana State Wakf Board for the arrangements at various Eid prayer locations. The TSRTC will provide special buses to Eidgah Mir Alam from different parts of the city. Arrangements at other religious places like Qutb Shahi Tombs and Eidgah Bilali Masab Tank have also been completed with the involvement of different departments.
