Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy of Hyderabad spoke to the media in Kodangal after voting, saying that the Congress is expected to receive more than 39.5 percent of the vote. He emphasized the importance of these elections for both him and his party, which recently came to power in the state.

He viewed these elections not as a referendum on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 10-year government, but rather as a referendum on the 100-day Congress government in the state. Revanth believed that the INDI alliance would form the next government at the national level and expressed confidence that people would not be swayed by the tactics of the BJP and NDA.

He highlighted what he perceived as an anti-Modi sentiment among the public and praised the INDI alliance for its focus on development and empathy towards the underprivileged.

The Chief Minister also questioned the Election Commission of India’s handling of controversial statements made by BJP leaders, accusing them of targeting Congress leaders while ignoring similar actions from their rivals. He criticized what he called the “BJP washing machine,” suggesting that Central agencies were being used unfairly by the BJP leadership.
