Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has called for the southern part of the Regional Ring Road (RRR) to be designed in a way that benefits the state. He made these comments during a meeting at his residence in Jubilee Hills. During the meeting, he also discussed plans for a new project called Future City.
The discussions at the meeting focused on the southern section of the RRR, radial roads, and a new highway that would connect a dry port to a sea port. Those who attended the meeting included Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, senior officials, and the Chief Secretary.
CM Reddy suggested making changes to the planned 189-kilometer stretch of the RRR, which runs from Choutuppal to Sangareddy. He recommended that land acquisition for the project should start early and called for fair compensation to be given to farmers who will have to give up their land.
He also advised that the connection between the dry port and the ports in Andhra Pradesh should be studied thoroughly before finalizing the new highway. Additionally, he requested a report on the possibility of developing inland waterways in the region.
Regarding the road section between Raviryala and Aman Gaal, CM Reddy asked officials to consider turning three nearby forest areas into night safari zones. He also suggested that eco-friendly building practices should be used for Future City, similar to those used by companies like Apple and Jindal Naturecare. Moreover, he mentioned that the scenic Rachakonda area has potential for growth in the film industry.
Finally, CM Reddy emphasized the importance of cooperation among all departments involved in land acquisition and project planning. He warned that actions would be taken if there are any issues with coordination.
