Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy invited Japanese companies to invest in the state, saying it is a great alternative to China for businesses looking to expand. He said Telangana is growing fast and is ready to welcome new investors.
He was speaking at the India-Japan Economic Partnership Roadshow held in Tokyo. At the event, Revanth Reddy and the official “Telangana Rising” team shared information about the many business opportunities in the state.
More than 150 Japanese business leaders from different industries attended the event. The Chief Minister said Telangana is the youngest state in India and is developing quickly. He added that Japanese businesses are welcome to be part of its growth.
Revanth Reddy compared Japan’s nickname, “the land of the rising sun,” to Telangana’s rising success. He also praised Tokyo’s advanced infrastructure and focus on the environment, saying Hyderabad has learned a lot from Japan.
He encouraged Japanese companies to invest in sectors such as life sciences, electronics, electric vehicles, textiles, AI data centers, and logistics. He promised that Telangana offers excellent infrastructure, a skilled workforce, and friendly business policies.
Revanth Reddy said, “Together, India and Japan can build a brighter future for the world.”
India’s Ambassador to Japan, CB George, also spoke at the event and talked about the strong economic relationship between the two countries. Toshihiro Mizutani from JETRO Bengaluru showed interest in working more closely with Telangana.
During the roadshow, videos were shown about Telangana’s major projects, including ‘Future City’ — India’s first Net Zero Industrial City — and the Musi River Rejuvenation Project. Jayesh Ranjan, Telangana’s Principal Secretary of Industries and Commerce, explained that the state is very supportive of investors and highlighted new opportunities in areas like electronics, AI, green energy, and textiles.
After the event, the Telangana team held private meetings with leaders of top Japanese companies to explore possible partnerships.
