    Col Kirti Pratap Singh, who currently serves as the Joint Secretary and Advisor (Ops & Communication) at the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), will lead a Central team to Telangana. The purpose of the visit is to assess the damage caused by the heavy rains that have affected the state.

    Col KP Singh will not be going alone. He will be accompanied by a team of experts from several important departments. These include the Department of Expenditure from the Ministry of Finance, the Department of Agriculture and Family Welfare, the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, the Ministry of Rural Development, and the National Remote Sensing Centre (NRSC), which is part of ISRO.

    The team plans to visit the areas that have been hit hardest by the floods. They will interact with the people who have been affected and also meet with local authorities to better understand the situation.

    Union Minister of Coal and Mines, Shri G. Kishan Reddy, spoke to Col KP Singh over the phone. He shared his own observations and experiences from interacting directly with flood-affected people in the Khammam district.
