Collector in Karimnagar advocates for girl child empowerment panels

Karimnagar District Collector Pamela Satpathy has emphasized the need to establish girl empowerment committees in all government schools in order to empower girls. She held a review session on women empowerment at the KGBV School, along with officials from the Welfare department, at the Collectorate on Monday.

During the meeting, Collector Satpathy highlighted the importance of teaching moral values alongside education to shape the future of girls. She specifically mentioned that girl empowerment committees should be formed to raise awareness about child marriages, sexual assaults, gender discrimination, and health issues. She called upon parents, teachers, and society as a whole to work together to ensure progress for girls in all areas.

To conclude the meeting, the Collector distributed Snehita badges to children, women employees, staff members, KGBV students, and school teachers.
