Ashwa Mareppa, head of the Budaga Jangala Rights Committee, urged swift action to build proper roads and drainage in Holiya Dasari Budaga Jangala Colony at Telangana Chowrasta, Aiza town. He visited the area with committee members to highlight these needs.
Residents face significant problems due to missing cement roads and drainage systems. Mareppa noted that stagnant rainwater and sewage are causing major disruptions. Despite repeated requests, municipal leaders have not responded.
Open drains are mixing with rainwater, resulting in bad odors and unhealthy environments. Stagnant water is breeding mosquitoes, increasing illnesses among locals.
Mareppa also called for a culvert to connect Telangana Chowrasta with the colony. Improving infrastructure is vital for residents’ basic rights and health, he stated.
Locals and committee members joined the visit, raising their concerns. They urged municipal officials to act quickly to resolve these issues and better the community’s living conditions.
