In Hyderabad, the Congress party is facing challenges in the Malkajgiri and Mahbubnagar areas, which are important to the Chief Minister. The previous MP for Malkajgiri, Revanth, and his current Kodangal constituency which is now part of Mahbubnagar are both areas of focus for the CM as he tries to win over voters.

There is concern that senior BJP leaders running in these constituencies, Eatala Rajender and D K Aruna, may have an advantage. The CM is increasing his efforts in these areas, along with Chevella, Zaheerabad, and Bhongir, which have also been mentioned frequently by Revanth Reddy. There has been tension between Revanth Reddy and some BRS and BJP members over support for the BJP candidates.

The Mahbubnagar candidate Challa Vamshi Chand Reddy is facing challenges due to lack of support from local Congress leaders. Drought conditions in the area are also affecting perceptions of the candidates. In Malkajgiri, Congress candidate Patnam Sunitha Mahender Reddy is facing obstacles as a non-local candidate, while Eatala Rajender’s past achievements are boosting his candidacy.

Revanth Reddy won in Malkajgiri in 2019 but later resigned to run for the Legislative Assembly. This is the first election for the constituency since then. The CM is holding roadshows and corner meetings in Malkajgiri to try to rally support ahead of the election.
