Congress intensifies preparations for Maharashtra elections

Hyderabad: The Congress party is gearing up for the upcoming Maharashtra Assembly elections. To prepare, the party is holding review sessions with its election observers. One such session took place recently at Tilak Bhavan, the headquarters of the Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) in Mumbai.

Several key leaders attended this meeting. Among them were Dr. Kota Neelima, the AICC Election Observer for the Amaravati parliamentary segment, and other important figures like the Sanathnagar Incharge. The session was led by Ramesh Chennithala, the AICC General Secretary in charge of Maharashtra. MPCC president Nana Patole, CLP leader BB Thorat, and other senior leaders also participated.

In a separate event, the Election Commission announced the dates for the Assembly elections in Maharashtra and Jharkhand. The Chief Election Commissioner stated that the Maharashtra Assembly elections will be held in a single phase on November 20, 2024. Meanwhile, Jharkhand’s elections will take place in two phases, on November 13 and November 20, 2024.
