The Congress party has announced its plans to intensify its agitation against the government over the Adani row. Telangana PCC senior vice-president G Niranjan has criticized Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao’s letter to his BRS ranks on Monday, stating that it is proof that his pedestal is shaking. Speaking at Gandhi Bhavan, Niranjan claimed that CM KCR’s daughter Kavitha was caught in the liquor scam, and the future of lakhs of candidates was at stake with the leak of TS Public Service Commission examination papers and the allegations against Minister KTR’s PA in this case. He added that these incidents have completely discredited the State government and CM KCR.

Niranjan also pointed out that CM KCR was in a perplexing situation as BRS, which had started with much fanfare, was in a state of immobility. He accused KCR of resorting to cheap politics and managing defections from other parties after the 2014 and 2018 assembly elections. Niranjan questioned why those who fought for Telangana were kept away while people against the Telangana movement were given ministerial posts by KCR. He also criticized KCR’s claims that Telangana was flourishing and pointed out the hardships faced by the families of lakhs of candidates who wrote the TSPSC.

Furthermore, Niranjan stated that the BRS cadre was not in a mood to believe KCR because of his past background during the last nine years. He added that KCR’s letter to the ranks of BRS, who have no access to the Pragati Bhavan for the past nine years, would not be enough to convince them. Niranjan concluded by saying that the BRS ranks are well aware of KCR’s words saying that ‘you are my strength’ and ‘you are my force’, which he claimed were nothing but a wolf’s word.
