The Congress in Goa is asking Prime Minister Narendra Modi to talk about the Mhadei river water diversion issue in his 100th episode of ‘Mann Ki Baat’ on Sunday. They want him to say that the river will not be diverted. The Goa Congress Media Department Chairman believes the Prime Minister can show courage and care for the small state of Goa by speaking out about this issue. He also criticized the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders for not speaking the truth about the Mhadei issue in front of the people of Goa during a meeting in South Goa.

The BJP leaders said that they have the guts to tell even people in Karnataka that the Goa government will not compromise on the Mhadei river issue. However, the Congress believes that they should speak up about it during the election campaign in Karnataka. They want to hear from the Prime Minister that Mhadei water will not be diverted.
