Telangana Chief Secretary Shanti Kumari held a teleconference with district collectors to discuss the supply of sand for housing projects. She emphasized the need to ensure that sand is available at reasonable prices for consumers.
During the meeting, she directed officials to create a detailed action plan for effective sand distribution. She also stressed the importance of regular inspections of sand reaches and stockyards to prevent any irregularities.
Shanti Kumari further urged officials to take strict action against illegal sand transportation. She highlighted that continuous monitoring and enforcement would help stop unauthorized activities and ensure a smooth supply of sand for construction projects.
The state government’s efforts to streamline sand availability are part of its larger plan to support housing projects and infrastructure development in Telangana.
