The Young India Police School (YIPS) in Hyderabad has officially started its admission process. Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy recently launched the school’s website, marking the beginning of admissions. On Thursday, Hyderabad City Police Commissioner CV Anand conducted the draw of lots for admissions at the YIPS campus in Manchirevula.
The Commissioner personally oversaw the lottery process for classes 1 to 5 and handed over admission letters to parents on the spot. Each class has 40 seats, with 20 reserved for children of uniformed service personnel and the other 20 for the general public.
During the draw, a total of 45 seats were allotted to children of police personnel and 11 to others. The breakdown of admissions was as follows: 9 students in class 1, 8 in class 2, 10 in class 3, 10 in class 4, and 8 in class 5.
The event was attended by the school principal, parents, and senior police officials. Parents appreciated the fair and transparent admission process adopted by the school.
With the admissions now complete, YIPS is preparing to welcome its first batch of students. The school is set to be inaugurated by the Chief Minister in the first week of April.
Due to the high number of applications, the school used a lottery system to ensure a fair selection process. YIPS remains committed to transparency and fairness in its admissions.
