Hyderabad is bustling with activity as thousands from the global Dawoodi Bohra community gather for the Ashara Mubaraka events. This year, His Holiness Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin, the 53rd leader of the community, chose Chennai, Tamil Nadu as the primary venue. Hyderabad and Secunderabad serve as key locations where the congregations are broadcast live.

The gatherings started on June 27, 2025, and are happening at various sites in the twin cities, such as the Saifee Masjid complex in Trimulgherry, Ezzi Masjid Complex in Chowk, Husaini Alam, and Imperial Garden. The events are set to continue until July 5, 2025.

During these nine days, the community, guided by Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin, honors Prophet Muhammad (SAW), his grandson Imam Husain, and their family for standing up for justice, truth, and humanity. For the Dawoodi Bohras, attending the Muharram gatherings is a chance for spiritual and personal growth.
