Bhupalpally: District Collector Rahul Sharma has directed local revenue officials to act quickly on land-related applications submitted by farmers during ongoing revenue conferences.
On Thursday, the Collector visited two key venues — the Damannapet farmers’ platform in Regonda mandal and the district-mandal council school in Tirumalagiri village. These visits are part of a special initiative under the new Bhū Bhārati ROR Revenue Act.
As part of this pilot project, Regonda mandal has been chosen to collect farmers’ feedback, suggestions, and formal land applications. The goal is to test and improve the new land records system before a wider rollout.
Out of the 11 villages in Regonda mandal scheduled to hold revenue conferences, 8 have completed their meetings so far. Collector Sharma praised the progress and urged officials to set up a Help Desk at conference sites. These desks will guide farmers through the application process and answer their questions.
He stressed that every land application should be officially recorded with clear remarks at the time of submission. This will help speed up the investigation and resolution process.
To ensure transparency and faster service, Sharma instructed officials to issue notices promptly after reviewing the applications. He emphasized that the entire process must move quickly to provide timely justice to farmers and landowners.
