Hyderabad: Complaints about spoiled chicken in biryani at Deccan Palm Restaurant near Tarnaka Crossroads prompted action. Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) Deputy Mayor Mothe Srilatha Shoban Reddy made a surprise visit to the restaurant. She found unhygienic and expired food items and voiced strong disapproval to the management. She directed food safety officials to inspect and address any non-hygienic conditions at the restaurant promptly.
Srilatha Shoban Reddy stated, “We are dedicated to protecting residents’ health by taking strict measures against poor food quality. Legal consequences will follow for those not adhering to food safety regulations.”
She also announced the creation of special teams to oversee food safety in all city eateries. The Deputy Mayor stressed that these steps are vital for providing healthy food to the community.
