Gadwal: The town of Gadwal was filled with devotion and excitement as people celebrated Hanuman Jayanti in a grand way. The streets echoed with chants of Lord Hanuman’s name during a colorful and lively procession called the Shobha Yatra.
The procession started at the famous Chennakesava Swamy temple and moved through the main streets of the town. A key highlight was the participation of local Congress leaders. Former Zilla Parishad Chairperson Sarithamma, who is now the Congress in-charge for Gadwal, and former Municipal Chairman B.S. Keshav, joined the event. They, along with other Congress members, walked beside a large, beautifully decorated idol of Lord Hanuman placed on a specially designed vehicle.
Many young people joined the celebration, waving saffron flags with Hanuman’s symbol on them. Their energy and enthusiasm made the event even more vibrant. Devotional music, chants, and festive decorations added to the joyful atmosphere, attracting large crowds of devotees and onlookers.
Leaders from the Congress party’s town and mandal branches, former councillors, and many party workers also took part in the festivities. This made the event not only a religious celebration but also a display of political participation in cultural traditions.
