Gadwal: As part of the Ambedkar Jayanti celebrations, BJP National Vice President and Mahabubnagar MP DK Aruna criticized the Congress party. Speaking at a state-level workshop in Vijayawada, she said the Congress had deceived Dr. B.R. Ambedkar many times in history.
The event, called the “Ambedkar Samyan Abhiyan,” was organized by the BJP central committee. It was attended by Andhra Pradesh BJP President D. Purandeswari, MLC Somu Veerraju, senior party leaders, and many party workers. DK Aruna received a warm welcome from the crowd.
During her speech, Aruna explained how party workers should inform people about what she called the Congress party’s false claims and betrayal of Ambedkar. She said the Congress had insulted Ambedkar repeatedly, even making sure he lost elections. She also claimed the Congress spread rumors that the BJP would change the Constitution if it came to power.
Aruna stated that people have already rejected these lies through their votes. She added that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is working towards fulfilling Ambedkar’s dreams. Any changes made to the Constitution under Modi’s government, she said, were only for the benefit of the people and the country.
She accused the Congress of using Ambedkar’s name just to get votes. In contrast, she said, Modi is respecting Ambedkar’s ideals through good governance and policies. Aruna urged party workers to follow Ambedkar’s vision and spread awareness about the BJP’s efforts at the village level.
As part of the Ambedkar Samyan Abhiyan, DK Aruna shared the schedule of upcoming programs taking place from April 13 to April 25:
– April 13: Cleaning of Ambedkar statues in every village, followed by lighting of lamps in the evening.
– April 14: Tributes to be paid at Ambedkar statues across the state.
– April 15–21: Awareness programs in Dalit neighborhoods to highlight the Central Government’s work toward fulfilling Ambedkar’s vision.
She concluded by saying the workshop aimed to guide BJP workers and help them share the party’s commitment to Ambedkar’s legacy with the public.
