Gadwal: District Superintendent of Police (SP) T. Srinivasa Rao, IPS, has asked local police to step up efforts to reduce property crimes and stop road accidents in the area.
At a monthly crime review meeting held at the District Police Office, SP Rao analyzed the crime data from the past month. He looked closely at new case registrations and ongoing investigations. He told officers to complete investigations quickly and fairly, while keeping proper records.
SP Rao also focused on the rising number of road accidents. He directed police to place barricades in high-risk zones and track down vehicles involved in hit-and-run cases. He ordered strict checks on vehicles and tougher enforcement of Drunk and Drive laws throughout the district.
To boost public awareness, he called for campaigns through SHE Teams and cultural groups. These programs should teach drivers and citizens about traffic safety. He stressed that these efforts must reach every driver in every police station’s area.
SP Rao asked officers to use the CCTNS 2.0 system effectively. He said every case must be uploaded correctly to improve record-keeping and investigation tracking.
To fight property crimes, he told police to collect information on inter-state gangs. Special plans should be made to catch these criminals. He also ordered more beat patrols and preventive action to reduce theft and burglary.
Each police station must have working CCTV cameras, he said. Broken ones should be repaired quickly. He warned against delays in arresting suspects and told officers to complete investigations on time and file charge sheets in court without delay.
SP Rao also reminded police to treat citizens with respect, especially at station receptions. He said staff should receive regular training to improve how they communicate with the public. He emphasized the importance of staying in touch with court officials to keep legal records updated.
The meeting was attended by DSP Mogilayya, Circle Inspectors Ravi Babu (Alampur), Srinivas (Gadwal), Tata Babu (Shanti Nagar), RI Venkatesh, CCS Inspector Nageshwar Reddy, and several Sub-Inspectors from across the district.
