The event was attended by DSP Satyanarayana, Armed Forces DSP Narender Rao, and Cyber Security Wing DSP Satyaiah.
In his address to the officers and staff, SP Srinivas Rao explained that while India gained independence on August 15, 1947, the Hyderabad region, which was under the Nizam’s rule, only became free on September 17, 1948. He explained that due to the growing unrest, Prime Minister Nehru and Deputy Prime Minister Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel authorized a military operation, led by General Chaudhary, to bring Hyderabad into India. The SP emphasized Sardar Patel’s crucial role in this historic event and reminded everyone of the importance of learning from history. He said that Telangana People’s Governance Day is a reminder of this significant event.
