Independence Day Celebrations Across Telangana Districts

Grand celebrations were held across various districts in Telangana on Thursday to mark the 78th Independence Day. The events, organized by the district administrations, created a festive atmosphere and showcased the spirit of patriotism.

Khammam Celebrations

In Khammam, Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu took the lead in the celebrations. He highlighted the various schemes implemented by the Telangana government over the past eight months, describing them as a model for the entire country. After hoisting the national flag and receiving the police salute, he spoke about the district’s progress and the government’s commitment to development and welfare.

Suryapet Observations

In Suryapet, Irrigation Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy unfurled the national flag and received the Guard of Honour. He paid tribute to the martyrs of the freedom movement and emphasized the Congress government’s focus on action rather than just rhetoric. He spotlighted key initiatives like the Indiramma Housing Scheme and the Mahalakshmi Gas Subsidy Scheme as examples of the government’s dedication to helping the economically disadvantaged.

Gadwal Cultural Performances

In Gadwal, the celebrations were marked by cultural performances from students of various schools. The audience was captivated by the patriotic dance performed by Bal Bhavan students and a striking pyramid display by the girls of KGBV Undavelli. Awards were presented to officials from various government departments in recognition of their exemplary services.

Wanaparthy and the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ Programme

In Wanaparthy, as part of the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ programme, BJP Wanaparthy Town President Bachcha Rama and district President Narayana led a rally featuring a 78-meter-long national flag. Students carried the flag across the town, showcasing their patriotic fervor.

Nalgonda and Mahabubnagar Highlights

In Nalgonda, R&B Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy emphasized the importance of cooperation from everyone for the district’s overall development. After hoisting the national flag and receiving the police honour guard, the Minister distributed cheques under various schemes, including Rs 355.34 crores through DRDA’s bank linkage programme and Rs 768.30 lakhs through MEPMA.

Meanwhile, in Mahabubnagar, Excise, Culture, and Tourism Minister Jupalli Krishna Rao hoisted the national flag and delivered a compelling address at the police parade ground. He emphasized the government’s commitment to transparent governance, freedom, and social justice.
